TOPIC IV PREVIEW
DANIEL'S 70 WEEKS

The previous Topic about Modern-Day Israel discussed the unique characteristics of the 1988-1995 seven-year period, within the context of Daniel's 70th Week.  As those major world events unfolded in the early 1990's, I expected that period would end with the Lord's Apocalypse, so was quite mystified when that did not occur.  Then early in 1998, the State of Israel began to advertise its upcoming 50th year Jubilee in the Land.  My earlier focus had always been on Jubilee 1995, based on that Timeline discussed in Topic II, but it suddenly became apparent that two successive Jubilee years had just occurred.  The first was the 1995 Jubilee for Daniel's ancient people, and the second was the 1998 Jubilee for the modern-day Sons of Daniel’s people.  A careful re-reading of Daniel's prophecies for the End Times confirmed that the ancient Hebrew people are specifically mentioned in (Daniel 9.24), but later in (Daniel 12.1), there is reference to modern-day Jews.

This new thought prompted a serious examination of the 1998-2005 period, and it was found that it also contained all of Daniel's specific 1260, 1290, 1335, and 2300-day requirements for Daniel's 70th Week.  Furthermore, each of those time intervals was again tied to a Levitical Calendar, and historic events within that period continued to be timed according to both the Levitical and 360-day Calendars.  These facts, coupled with the realization that the 1998 Jubilee at the start of the seven-year period more precisely fit the pattern of David's timeline, which also began with a Jubilee year, all supported the notion that 1998-2005 must be a legitimate part of the picture of the End Times.

Then about five years ago, two key links were discovered in this saga of Daniel’s 70-Week Timeline.  It was found that a 14000-day countdown had connected Messiah's Palm Sunday coming as King at the conclusion of the first 69 Weeks, with a date at the advent of the first century destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70.  Similarly, a second 14000-day countdown began on June 7, 1967, the day when the State of Israel repatriated Jerusalem during the six-day war, and ended on the Levitical date for Trumpets, 2005 near the conclusion of this present 1998-2005 seven-year period.  Consequently, these two 14000-day links tie the first 69 Weeks of Daniel with our present time, by validating this present seven-year period as a proper prophetic conclusion for the entire 70-Week Timeline.

This Topic about Daniel's 70-Week Timeline will review its entire time span from 445 BC through the fall of 2005, and provide backup detail so the reader may study the details of this final seven-year period.
