the kingdom introduction |

Let
me share with you a little bit about the source of the material found in
The Kingdom, and about the backgrounds of those who prepared it. The material you will be studying comes directly from the Bible, although Bible students will realize quickly that the concepts are built on the dedicated work of many well-known Christian Bible scholars. In this respect, it includes not only inputs from selected theological sources, but also the results of in-depth scholarly work carried out in the areas of archaeology and Biblical chronology, which demonstrate the validity of the Bible.
Nevertheless, you will find The Kingdom quite unique, for it develops a picture of the End Times that will surely differ from your perceived notions. To be sure, The Kingdom is about the End Times, but this material focuses on current, not future, happenings. For example, it will provide you with a way of understanding those events that occurred recently, by showing how they may be explained completely from Scriptures found in the Bible.
My son and I have prepared the material in The Kingdom. We are both Christians who hold the Bible to be the infallible inerrant Word of God, and have both engaged in evangelistic efforts for many years, with an emphasis on jail related ministries. I’ve been the Chaplain with the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry at a county jail in the state of Maryland since 1992, but have personally given over 4000 Bible studies on a variety of subjects to both inmates and private groups over a period of more than 25 years. I am also the developer and manager of the web site, “Olive Tree Studies”, which was published in 1999 and is devoted entirely to the Bible.
God’s authentic Kingdom is described in the eight Topics that follow. They provide documentary evidence to demonstrate that the Bible presents the authentic account of the true Kingdom, and to affirm that the true hope for all of mankind remains only in trusting the God of the Bible, who formerly sent His Son to be the Savior of the world, and now sends Him to be its King. These eight Topics, which may be accessed from this page, were developed during a 27-year study of the End Times beginning in 1980, and are actually included in one form or another on the Olive Tree Studies web site.
